Last week, Laura and David celebrated six months of marriage. Their wedding on May 25th was such a beautiful event, and we were so glad we were able to help bring their high style ballroom floral design vision to life!
Every bride has her own priorities for her wedding day. For Laura, the floral design of the wedding was at the top of her list. Her vision was classic florals, including plenty of white blooms and lots of greenery. She wanted a sophisticated classic ballroom style, with shades of white and a variety of green foliage.
Florals were incorporated into every aspect of the wedding—from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the grand ballroom reception. We had many calls and meetings to nail it all down, and it was all worth it. When the wedding day finally arrived, it was a sight to behold!
A Grand Ballroom Style Head Table
Many of our conversations with Laura about the design centered around the head table at the reception. Laura’s vision was a grand design with large elevated floral arrangements adorning the 42-foot-long table. The table was covered with a white textured tablecloth, which was specially made for the table. We then incorporated 20 feet of lush garland down the middle of the table. We also set out gold mercury glass vases to hold the bridal party’s bouquets, and spread out Monet vases holding floating candles. The most eye catching elements of the head table were the 36-inch-tall gold stands topped with circular floral arrangements.
Bringing the Bride’s Vision to Life
When Laura walked in the door to the ballroom and saw the head table, her jaw dropped. She was absolutely in awe of the beautiful reception florals. It was such a joy to see her dream wedding become a reality.
“Karen made my vision come to life on the best day of my life,” Laura says. “She went above and beyond on our wedding day and added some florals that we didn’t even ask for. She made us smile, she made our day special and I would recommend her to all brides in the Hampton Roads area and beyond!”
Happy 6 month anniversary to Laura and David! We wish you many wonderful years together to come!
