Autumn Williamsburg Winery Wedding

Today we are excited to wish a happy third anniversary to Leanne and Phil! This lovely couple traveled all the way from Los Angeles to say “I do” at Williamsburg Winery. Leanne and Phil had a gorgeous autumn wedding filled with sentimental details and rich autumn colors. Since most of the guests traveled from California, most had never visited the winery before. And as a wedding planner herself, Leanne wanted to put together a wedding that wowed her guests. We loved helping create a dream wedding for Leanne and her wonderful family.

West Coast-Inspired Florals

To create the deep red floral arrangements, we incorporated several burgundy colored flowers—including dahlias, roses and scabiosa—along with blush and ivory flowers, and lots of greenery. The deep cranberry colors complemented the bridesmaids’ slate blue and navy gowns wonderfully.

Coming from California, Leanne also wanted to incorporate a taste of the west coast in her floral designs. That’s what inspired her choice of protea throughout the arrangements. Textured flowers like protea are a hallmark of west coast design, making them a perfect choice.

Leanne and Phil also incorporated wine bottles into the centerpiece design. These weren’t just any wine bottles, though. Each bottle came from a winery the couple had visited together while they were dating.

Family Heirlooms Become Sentimental Wedding Details

Leanne’s dress was actually made piece by piece from her mother’s wedding dress. A custom wedding dress designer masterfully redesigned the dress to suit Leanne’s style, while keeping the original satin and tulle her mother walked down the aisle in so many years before.

Leanne also incorporated her grandmother’s ring into her wedding jewelry. The 23 diamonds and melted platinum from the heirloom ring were used to create the engagement ring and wedding bands, as well as the bride’s earrings and necklace.

With so many special personal touches and family heirlooms, Leanne and Phil’s wedding was a wonderful celebration of love. We’re so glad to have been a part of it!
